Guanghua International Students Association (GISA)

Every year many international students arrive at Guanghua. Arriving in a foreign country can be a challenging transition, so GISA was set up to assist and support students in adapting to their new environment. GISA is run by students to assist both short-term exchange and long-term foreign students’ transition to China. GISA regularly runs networking, career, cultural and community events where both overseas and local Chinese students have the opportunity to learn, study and develop friendships.

Startup Events

Did you know that China's silicon valley is right next door to Peking University? The tech industry is booming in China, and startup events are run regularly to bring together designers, engineers, entrepreneurs and investors to start new enterprises in Beijing. Our students are actively involved in the joint Peking University and Tsinghua University 3 Day Start Up event, and the industry run 48 Hour Start up events. These events are a great opportunity to meet potential employers in the China tech industry.

Visiting Lecturers

As one of the most prestigious Universities in Asia, Peking University attracts many high profile guest lecturers from a diverse range of backgrounds. Recent speakers include Nobel prize winners Professor Alvin E.Roth of Stanford and Professor Robert C. Merton from MIT, Andy Serwer Editor of Fortune, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Bill Gates, Bobbi Brown and David Beckham.

Alumni Networks & Alumni Mentor Program

MBA students at Guanghua have exclusive access to China’s most extensive and influential alumni network which transcends all areas of Chinese business and political life. As China continues to develop and play an even greater role in the global economy, the Guanghua MBA provides students with unique opportunities to advance their careers in China and the wider global economy through its alumni network.

During your time at Guanghua you will be provided with an alumni mentor to provide professional guidance and advice on career development, industrial knowledge and skills training. Through the alumni mentor program many company visits are organized throughout the year for our MBA candidates. The alumni mentors will encourage the growth of students and take a lead in their career development through experience and knowledge sharing. At present, there are over 200 present or former alumni mentors.
