Whether you need to improve your resume, get career advice, or prepare for a job interview, Peking University Career Development Center (CDC) is always here to help. Learn how CDC can help you boost your career.
One-on-one Career Counseling
Guanghua CDC has been providing one-on-one career coaching and counseling services since September 2003. The length of each session is one hour. CDC consultants provide personalized advice to students and help students explore career options, develop job search strategies and improve self-marketing skills such as resume writing and interview skills.
Interested students can make an appointment with our CDC career consultants by sending an e-mail to CDC at cdc@gsm.pku.edu.cn with your personal information, convenient time, latest CV (mandatory), and Career Leader assessment report (optional).
Information Session & Job Fairs
CDC strives to develop and maintain relationships with a large number of employers from a wide range of industries and fields. Hundreds of companies come to Guanghua to recruit students every year. CDC facilitates on-campus presentations and job fairs in order to provide students with valuable opportunities to explore diverse career paths, learn about prospective employers and their job opportunities, and build professional networks with company representatives.
Internships & IPP Projects
Internships and practicum projects are a proven way to gain relevant knowledge, skills, and experience while establishing important connection in the field. Internships are also a way to get your feet and find out if a specific field is something you could see yourself doing as a fill-time job.
Most companies recruit interns from Guanghua for their staffing needs in the summer. However, some companies recruit part-time interns throughout the year.
Go to the “Download Center” for reading materials on how to find internships, how to avoid common internship mistakes, and how to get the most of your internships.
Consulting projects are designed specifically for MBA students by the MBA Program. Please find more information on IPP projects from the MBA Office.
Resume Clinic & Mock Interview
Do you know that recruiters spend an average of 30 seconds reviewing each resume? You can schedule a counseling session with our consultants about how to write a better resume.
In preparation, you should know the type of position you are targeting (e.g. research, administrative, analyst) and can list the basic requirements and qualifications for CDC consultants.
If you want to make a reservation, please send an e-mail to cdc@gsm.pku.edu.cn with your personal information, convenient time, latest resume (in both English and Chinese) and job descriptions of your target position.

One of CDC’s main responsibilities is to educate Guanghua students on code of professional ethics. We are very proud of our students in that they are highly ethical in job searching process as well as in business.
