The Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, is dedicated to nurturing well-rounded, competitive, and high-level talent in accounting and finance. The program places emphasis on developing students' professional knowledge in accounting and finance, international perspectives, leadership skills, implementation abilities, comprehensive management capabilities, and professional ethics and integrity. Since its inception in 2005, the MPAcc program has over 900 alumni.
Cutting-Edge Curriculum
Our refreshed curriculum encompasses fundamental courses, professional courses, electives, and specialty courses. The fundamental courses aim to equip students with theoretical and practical knowledge in accounting and finance, while cultivating their leadership and execution skills, understanding of relevant macroeconomic policies, integrated management capabilities, and adherence to professional ethics and integrity. The professional courses introduce students to the latest advancements in accounting analysis and decision-making, enhancing their ability to analyze and solve real-world issues. Elective professional courses are designed to hone students’ professionalism and their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world case studies. The program also offers specialty courses in history, philosophy, humanities, and ethics. These courses aim to provide insights into significant life themes, help students cultivate profound life wisdom, and shape their values and perspectives on life.
Integrated Practicum Project
The Integrated Practicum Project (IPP) is a unique collaboration between our university and the business community. It serves as a dynamic platform where our MPAcc students can apply their academic knowledge to real-world business challenges. The IPP, a key part of our MPAcc program, fosters a symbiotic relationship between students and local enterprises. This mutually beneficial setup allows our students to enhance their management capabilities while providing innovative solutions to the participating companies. With the IPP, we proudly bridge the gap between theory and practice, underscoring our commitment to practical, experiential learning.
Enhancing Global Perspectives
Capitalizing on the expansive network of over 130 university partnerships of the Guanghua School of Management, our MPAcc program offers a wealth of global experiences. Through exchange programs and brief international study trips, we aim to widen our students' horizons and enrich their academic journey across diverse fields like accounting, finance, international business, and innovation. Our Global Business immersion course, a highlight of our program, is a week-long summer study adventure at various international business schools. It includes lectures on economics, finance, politics, and management, corporate visits, and cultural activities, all designed to enhance students' global exposure and understanding.
Remarkable Alumni Network
Guanghua School of Management, with one of the most expansive alumni networks among Chinese business schools, is connected to over 30,000 alumni, including nearly 900 MPAcc graduates. These alumni are leaders and influencers in their respective fields, both within China and internationally. With 26 regional alumni associations and numerous other alumni groups across the country, our students are linked to a vast pool of high-caliber resources.
The MPAcc program organizes a multitude of events to deepen connections between students and alumni. One such initiative is the MPAcc Mentorship Program, where we annually invite successful alumni to share their knowledge, experiences, and even offer internship opportunities.
