Students from the Guanghua “Future Leaders” International Undergraduate Program had the opportunity to tour Canva's Beijing office on March 10th. It was many students’ first time touring a company in China, during their first truly offline semester in Beijing, which made it unique and interesting. Through the presentation by Ashley Huang, Canva China Talent Acquisition Lead, students gained valuable insights into Canva's corporate values, which included ‘Get Crazy Big Goals and Make Them Happen’, ‘Be a Good Human’, ‘Empower Others’, etc. These values were evident in the open and collaborative office environment.
During the tour, Olivia, the Marketing Lead for Canva China, shared her experience and knowledge regarding the challenges and successes of launching the product in the Chinese market, as an Australian graphic design company. This provided valuable insights into cross-cultural marketing practices and doing business in China.
The tour of Canva's Beijing office underscored the international brand's commitment to its values and its dedication to providing a collaborative and innovative work environment. The experience will undoubtedly help students expand their understanding of corporate culture and marketing practices in China.
