Nov. 27, 2024

The Chinese Speech Contest for International Students provides a broad platform for showcasing their achievements in learning Chinese and expressing their personal views. The competition not only reflects the remarkable progress in Peking University's international education but also highlights the vibrant spirit of international students.

Speech Theme: "Protecting Green Development, Building a Better Home Together"
Note: This is not the speech title.

This year's contest is centered around the theme "Protecting Green DevelopmentBuilding a Better Home Together," aiming to explore new paths for sustainable development from the unique perspectives of youth. It encourages participants to present their deep reflections and innovative insights on environmental protection, ecological balance, and sustainable development in the current era, contributing youthful wisdom and energy to the global construction of ecological civilization. Speakers can draw from their personal experiences to discuss their understanding of the role of the younger generation in addressing global environmental challenges, participating in international environmental governance, and practicing green living. They are also encouraged to reflect on how the new generation of international youth can impact the sustainable development of the world’s future. Participants are recommended to choose one of the following keywords as the basis for their speech topic: “International Environmental Cooperation,” “Environmental Justice and Just Transition,” “Green Development and Youth Participation,” “Practicing Green Living,” and “Youth Power in Environmental Advocacy.” Based on the speech theme, contestants should create their own titles (with content related to China), ensuring positive intentions and clear logical structure.
