Peking University Teams Up with Alipay to Launch New Campus Payment Method
Oct 20, 2024
Peking University, October 20, 2024: Peking University has launched the "Peking University Campus Card" Alipay mini program, the first campus card service in China developed in collaboration with Alipay. This new platform integrates key functions such as campus card recharging, payment services, and inquiry services, offering students and staff a more convenient and intelligent mobile payment experience. This initiative is part of the Computer Center's ongoing efforts to enhance the mobile payment environment on campus.
Previously, the Computer Center provided a digital campus card service for Peking University’s students and staff, accessible through various mobile platforms, including an app, a WeChat mini program, and NFC cards. The first of its kind in China, the addition of the Alipay mini program further facilitates the use of mobile payments for those who prefer Alipay. Students and staff can log into Alipay to access features such as online recharging, dining payments, transaction inquiry, and card loss reporting, greatly enhancing overall campus convenience.

To ensure the security of campus card information and data, users can only log into one platform at a time: either the "Peking University Campus Card" Alipay mini program, the WeChat mini program, or the "Peking University" app. To switch platforms, users must first log out of the current service before accessing another. This allows students and staff to choose their preferred mobile payment method while ensuring data safety.

The launch of this campus card Alipay mini program not only expands the online service options for the Peking University campus card, it also significantly enhances the intelligence level of card services.  The Computer Center will stay committed to innovation, and will continue to address future university needs, developing a smarter, more efficient campus service system for the school community.
