President of Griffith University leads delegation to Peking University

Peking University, June 12, 2024: Carolyn Evans, the vice-chancellor and president of Griffith University, accompanied by Sarah Todd, the vice president for international affairs, and Sherman Xia, the regional marketing director, recently visited Peking University (PKU). They were welcomed by PKU President Gong Qihuang at Linhuxuan, where Ning Qi, the vice council chair and vice president of Peking University, was also in attendance.

Gong welcomed Evans and her delegation, thanking them for their long-term support. He highlighted the ongoing cooperation between the two universities and expressed a desire to explore further collaboration in public health, energy, and the environment to address global issues. Gong emphasized that Peking University aims to enhance student and faculty exchanges through various programs, contributing to humanistic exchanges between China and Australia.

Evans thanked Peking University for the warm reception and recalled their long history of collaboration in public health. She expressed Griffith University's willingness to strengthen ties with Peking University in climate change, biomedicine, and other fields, aiming to elevate the partnership to a new level.
