In order to enable our international faculty to experience the beauty of Chinese history and culture, the International Faculty Club of Peking University plans to organize the themed activity of "Discovering the Beauty of Chinese History and Culture - A Visit to the Ancient Capital of Nanjing " from November 16th to 19th. Nanjing, known as the ancient capital of Jinling or Jiankang, is one of the most beautiful cities in China. Nanjing is rich in culture and unique in natural landscapes, and is also one of the political, economic and cultural centers of China.
Event Arrangement (Proposed)
Thursday, November 16
Depart at noon, Beijing → Nanjing (high-speed rail)
Seeing the night view of Nanjing City
Friday, November 17
Morning: Visit Nanjing University, and exchange with the international faculty members in Nanjing University
Afternoon: Visit Niushoushan and Jinling Town and experience the splendor of ancient Jinling
Saturday, November 18
Morning: Visit Nanshan Bamboo Sea to experience the beauty of Chinese bamboo culture and longevity culture
Afternoon: Visit the Confucius Temple, and Laomendong Historic District
Sunday, November 19
Morning: Visit the Presidential Palace, a historical and architectural site of modern China
Afternoon: Return to Beijing in the afternoon
